Full 2016 U.S. Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract Now Available

NMMA's complete 2016 U.S. Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract, which contains thousands of data points and insights on the boating industry, is now available for download or order. NMMA members receive unlimited complimentary access to the digital version here. 

Highlights from the full 2016 Statistical Abstract include:

  • Annual retail sales of new boats, engines and marine accessories in the U.S. totaled $17.9 billion in 2016, up 8.1% from 2015.  
  • Outboard engines sales were up 7% to 254,200 units; retail sales reached $2.3 billion, up 9.8% in 2016.  
  • Aftermarket accessory sales totaled $6.4 billion in 2016, an increase of 8%.
