Annual Engineering Compliance Seminar Draws Strong Industry Participation

Last week, NMMA hosted its annual Engineering Compliance Seminar in Louisville, Ky. with over 120 attendees representing more than 110 boatbuilders, compliance professionals, engineers, and technical partners.

Over three days, participants reviewed 33 recreational boating standards, including updates on Canadian and CE requirements, and engaged in practical sessions spanning electrical systems, flotation, fuel systems, propulsion, ISO/RCD documentation, and more.

This year’s program also featured guest speakers from SwiftSure Vessel Solutions, Transport Canada, the U.S. Coast Guard, and ABYC. Their expertise enriched discussions and underscored the importance of collaboration in advancing consistent, safety-focused compliance practices across the industry.

The NMMA Certification team will be announcing the date and location for the 2026 Engineering Compliance Seminar in the coming months, designed to build on the success of the 2025 event and further enhance its impact.
Beginning in 2027, the event will shift from December to October, a strategic move prompted by IBEX’s date change to December 7–9, 2027, in Tampa, Fla.
