Innovation and Insight Take Center Stage at IBEX 2025 with Return of Start-Up Pitch Competition and MIX Event

IBEX 2025 will hold two high-profile special events designed to inspire bold thinking and spotlight innovation in the marine industry. On Wednesday, October 8, the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference will host the return of Yachting Ventures’ Start-Up Pitch Competition and the Marine Ideas Exchange (MIX), presented by Soundings Trade Only.

On Oct. 8 from 7:30–10 a.m., the 2025 MIX event will bring together influential voices for a fast-paced program focused on leadership, technology, branding, and the future of marine retail. Led by senior executives and curated for impact, MIX includes a keynote conversation with Correct Craft CEO Bill Yeargin and breakout forums tackling the next wave of marine innovation and culture-driven leadership.

Following a successful debut in 2024, Yachting Ventures’ Start-Up Pitch Competition will again give early-stage marine companies a platform to present their ideas to investors and industry leaders. Held on the Main Stage from 4–5:30 p.m., the event will feature four to five start-ups, selected from the IBEX Start-Up Pavilion, pitching live to a panel of venture capitalists and experts. The competition aims to accelerate exposure, connections, and potential funding for innovative new businesses.

Both events reinforce IBEX’s role as a launchpad for ideas, talent, and transformation. Registration for IBEX and tickets for MIX are open at www.ibexshow.com, with early bird pricing available through September 5. Start-ups interested in pitching can apply through Yachting Ventures or contact [email protected].

IBEX 2025 takes place October 7–9 at the Tampa Convention Center.
