National Safe Boating Week: Industry Encouraged to Share Safety Resources
National Safe Boating Week (NSBW) is officially underway, running May 17–23. This annual observance marks the launch of the Safe Boating Campaign, a national and international initiative dedicated to promoting responsible boating behavior as the summer season begins.
NMMA and Discover Boating are actively sharing safety-focused content across digital channels throughout the week. Industry stakeholders, including manufacturers, dealers, marinas, and other marine businesses, are encouraged to take part in these industry-wide efforts by sharing safety resources, promoting local safety events, and educating customers on best practices.
A comprehensive National Safe Boating Week toolkit is available through the Safe Boating Campaign. This toolkit includes ready-to-use social media posts, digital assets, safety fact sheets, and more, providing valuable resources to support your outreach efforts.
Additional organizations offering boating safety resources include:
- BoatU.S. Foundation
- Sea Tow Foundation
- Watersports Foundation
- U.S. Coast Guard Boating Safety Division
- Discover Boating
- Canadian Safe Boating Council
