Industry Leaders to Kick Off American Boating Congress 2025 with Focus on Unity, Advocacy and What’s Ahead

The 2025 American Boating Congress (ABC) will officially open Tuesday, May 13 at 8:00 a.m. with a dynamic general session featuring NMMA President and CEO Frank Hugelmeyer, alongside two of the industry’s most influential executives: Brett McGill, President and CEO of MarineMax, and Bryan Redmond, CEO and Co-founder of Suntex Marinas.

This powerful panel will set the tone for the industry’s premier advocacy event, emphasizing the importance of a unified voice in Washington and a forward-looking mindset amid shifting economic and regulatory changes. The session will explore strategies for managing risk, delivering exceptional customer service, and sustaining growth as the recreational boating industry navigates evolving consumer expectations and policy landscapes.

As the industry confronts challenges ranging from global supply chain pressures to shifting demographics and policy uncertainty, the session will underscore the need for continued investment in advocacy, access, and innovation to maintain momentum and protect boating’s place in American life.
The American Boating Congress, hosted annually by the National Marine Manufacturers Association, brings together stakeholders from across the recreational boating industry to engage with policymakers, advance a shared policy agenda, and spotlight the industry’s $230 billion economic impact. ABC 2025 will be held May 12-14 in Washington, D.C., and includes a full slate of advocacy meetings, policy briefings, and networking opportunities.
