Nine-Day Progressive Insurance New England Boat Show Opens Saturday

The Progressive® Insurance New England Boat Show®opens tomorrow at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and runs through Sunday, February 16th. In its 65th year the nine-day Show is bringing more than 700 of the latest boats, marine accessories, products and an array of seminars for new and seasoned boaters.
 
Fan-favorite features returning include hands-on activities for the whole family.  NOAA’s life-size whale called “Salt” is a 40 ft. inflatable humpback offering attendees a chance to explore the inside of a whale. In addition, kids and families can take advantage of the kid’s paddleboats on a mini-lake and create toy boats to bring home at the Build-A-Boat feature.
 
Also returning is Goose Hummock, a leading New England Fishing Outfitter with more than 50 seminars on saltwater fishing and interactive fishing tanks and demos. Plus,  the annual Boating Career Day in partnership with the Massachusetts Marine Trade Association will welcome more than 100 students on Friday, February 14th, to participate in an interactive Q&A to learn from marine industry professionals. Furthermore, the Show will extend Career Day into aJob Fair, offering interested adults and job seekers a free ticket to the Show when registering online in addition to a handful of networking opportunities with local exhibitors. Finally, besides to the annual educational seminars offered, a new feature called the Discover Boating Experience (DBX) is making a splash at this year’s Show. DBX is an immersive hub for boaters offering hands-on learning, dynamic demos, interactive activities and entertaining speakers.
