BoatPAC Breaks Record with 2019 Fundraising, Raises the Bar for 2020

BoatPAC – the federal political action committee (PAC) of NMMA and the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas (MRAA) – announced today that it exceeded its $250,000 fundraising benchmark, raising more than $252,000 from 392 donors – up from $202,000 from 348 donors in 2018. This marks the highest single-year fundraising total in BoatPAC’s history, which the PAC’s leadership attributed to its growing number of contributors.

“Today, because of our nearly 400 supporters and their commitment to advancing the recreational boating industry’s advocacy efforts, we celebrate BoatPAC’s largest fundraising year on record,” said Erica Crocker, NMMA senior director of political engagement and advocacy. “We are beyond grateful to everyone who made this possible and are excited to get back to work so we can set a new record next year.”

BoatPAC is once again raising the stakes, setting its 2020 fundraising goal at $325,000.

BoatPAC has contributed more than $190,000 to pro-boating champions so far this election cycle and is planning to increase its contributions leading up to the 2020 elections.
