Georgia State Elected Officials Visit Chaparral Boats
Last week, Georgia State Senator Tyler Harper and Representative Penny Houston toured Chaparral Boats Inc.’s facility in Nashville, Georgia. NMMA encourages other members to work with them on scheduling factory visits with their respective elected officials; critically important opportunities for highlighting the recreational boating industry.
During their visit, the Senator Harper and Representative Houston toured the plants’ facilities and witnessed the manufacturing process first-hand. An agriculture engineer graduate from the University of Georgia, Harper engaged with Chaparral founder Buck Pegg and the entire team throughout his tour, discussing a range of issues, including workforce development – a very important issue throughout the state of Georgia.
“Senator Harper and Representative Houston are natives of South Georgia and are staunch advocates supporting the issues and opportunities to advance our company and the needs of the marine industry,” said Pegg. “We were very happy to have them at our facility today to discuss current issues.”
If you have questions or are interested in scheduling a facility visit with your members of Congress, please contact NMMA senior vice president of government and legal affairs, Nicole Vasilaros at [email protected] or NMMA manager of southeast policy and engagement, Lee Gatts at [email protected].
