NMMA Leads Fact-Finding Mission to Croatia for Members
Earlier this month, the NMMA wrapped up an export fact-finding mission to Croatia. The group consisted of NMMA members interested in learning more about this growing boating market while seeking potential partners and looking for ways to expand sales. The agenda included visits to leading marinas, charter companies, boat builders and key distributors. The group launched their visit in Dubrovnik and culminated the week long trip at the Biograd Boat Show. The trip was supported by the US Commercial Service in Zagreb along with the Croatian Boating Industry Association.
Croatia is the world’s top charter market, attracting millions of tourists each year who cruise the more than 1,100 islands and natural harbors set within the calm Adriatic sea.
“US products are very well received and respected here and our goal is to increase the amount of US boats and marine products offered in the market by helping our members to increase their export sales,” said Julie Balzano, the association’s senior export director who led the Croatia delegation. "These fact finding missions offer our members an effective and efficient way to learn about a growing market and develop their best market entry strategy."
