NMMA Encourages Members to Apply for American Workforce Advisory Board

NMMA is calling on its members to apply to the serve on the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board, which was established by President Trump’s Executive Order 13845. The Board will provide advice on workforce policy to the National Council for the American Worker. One of the Board's activities will be to recommend steps to encourage the private sector and educational institutions to combat the skills crisis by investing in and increasing demand-driven workforce development, education, training, and re-training.

Individuals may nominate themselves or other individuals, and professional associations and organizations may nominate one or more qualified persons for a position on the Board. A nomination package should include the following information for each nominee:

  1. A letter of nomination stating the name, affiliation, and contact information for the nominee, the basis for the nomination (i.e. what specific attributes qualify him/her for service in this capacity), and the nominee's field(s) of experience;
  2. A biographical sketch of the nominee and a copy of his/her curriculum vitae; and 
  3. The name, return address, email address, and daytime telephone number at which the nominator can be contacted.

The deadline for submitting nominations to the U.S. Department of Commerce is October 1, 2018 and should be sent to [email protected]
