Boat Registrations Report Now Available from 2016 NMMA Statistical Abstract
The eighth section of NMMA's 2016 U.S. Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract, Total Boat Registrations, is now available on NMMA.org. Data shows 11.9 million registered boats in the U.S. in 2016; the Great Lakes region accounted for 26.8% of boats registered with the most boats per capita (one registered boat for every 6.4 households); and, outboard boats accounted for 75.3% of total traditional powerboats (equipped with an outboard, inboard, sterndrive or jet engine) registered in 2016.
Members receive unlimited complimentary access to the digital versions of the Abstract and the reports are also available for purchase by non-NMMA members. Non-members may order the entire digital edition of the Abstract for $3,999.
