Miami Boat Show Opens Today, Forecast Bright at Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin

The 2017 Progressive® Insurance Miami International Boat Show® kicks off today at the iconic Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin on Virginia Key. 2017 marks the show’s second year at Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin, where it will unveil a number of elements and show enhancements to further solidify the boat show as a mainstay amongst the boating industry and attendees worldwide. Updates include more boats, more yachts, and a new VIP experience, plus a more streamlined transportation plan and addition of renowned food and beverage caterer, Great Performances.

The popular Industry Breakfast, re-branded as the Innovation Breakfast, takes place tomorrow and is sold out. Details about the awards’ recipients at this year’s breakfast will be announced immediately following the breakfast and included in Monday’s edition of Currents.

More than 100,000 visitors are expected to attend this year’s show to browse the 1,300+ new boats on display and thousands of marine products from more than 1,100 exhibitors. Strictly Sail Miami, the show's second location, remains at Miamarina at Bayside and boasts more than 130 sailboats with an expanded selection of catamarans.
