National Marine Sanctuaries Seeking Advisory Council Applicants, Due Feb. 28

Currently, six national marine sanctuaries and Northwestern Hawaiian Islands Coral Reef Ecosystem Reserve are seeking applicants for vacant seats on their advisory councils, and NMMA encourages members to get involved.

The Sanctuary Advisory Councils are community-based groups whose insights guide management decisions and community relations for each sanctuary site. Candidates are selected based on expertise and experience in relation to the particular role for which they are applying, as well as relevant community or professional affiliations.

More information is available here, including a complete list of available positions. Applications not received or postmarked by February 28 will not be considered.
