NAM has collaborated with Mercer to develop NAM Health Care, a bona fide pre-rule industry based Association Health Plan (AHP) that allows manufacturing companies to band together to manage and access employee health insurance at competitive rates and terms typically only available to larger manufacturing companies. In states where the AHP is not approved, NAM Health Care will provide access to an affinity small group health offering.
NAM Health Care provides medical, dental, vision and life plan options built specifically for small to medium-sized manufacturers, with potential for lower premiums and reduced administrative costs saving up to 30% off existing health insurance expenses*. NAM Health Care also provides tailored coverage options to help meet the needs of your employees. Plan options with flexible choices begin as early as October 1, 2019 depending on the state in which your business is based.
To determine if NAM Health Care is a fit for your company’s coverage needs, please start with these considerations:
Are you an active manufacturing member of NMMA located in the United States?
- NAM Health Care is only available to NMMA manufacturer members in good standing.
Do you have less than 99 eligible U.S. employees?
- If yes, confirm if an AHP or Affinity Plan is available in your state.
- What is the difference between an AHP and Affinity Small Group Plan, based on your state’s coverage?
- If no, you qualify to be individually underwritten and issued a separate large group policy regardless of what state you are in. Contact Mercer at NAMHealthCare@Mercer.com for a customized quote.
If you are located in a qualified state and have less than 99 eligible U.S. employees, explore your coverage options and receive a quote at NMMA.NAMHealthCare.com or call 855-463-8856.
NAM Health Care is an industry-based Association Health Plan (AHP) that’s fully ACA-compliant, administered by Mercer and sponsored by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), of which the National Marine Manufacturers Association is an affiliate member.
