Boating Category Sales Trends Section of 2017 Statistical Abstract Now Available
The Cruiser, Watersport, Off-shore Fishing Boat and Trailer Sales Trends of the 2017 U.S. Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract is now available on NMMA.org. Members receive unlimited complimentary access to the digital version; the report is also available for purchase by non-NMMA members for $1,199.Data insights include the following:
- Inboard and sterndrive cruiser sales were up 2.4% compared to 2016, driven by a 4.8% increase in sterndrive-powered cruiser sales.
- Saltwater fishing boat sales were up 3.6% from 2016. Nearly all saltwater fishing boats sold were propelled with outboard engines.
The following sections of the Statistical Abstract are expected to be released later this month – Boat Registrations and Total Industry Sales by Category and State – followed by the release of the full report in August.
