Progressive Insurance Norwalk Boat Show Partners with Clean Earth Project for Beach Cleanup
The 2021 Progressive® Insurance Norwalk Boat Show® is hosting a Pre-Show Beach Cleanup in partnership with The Clean Earth Project this Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Norwalk, CT. The boat show and Clean Earth Project are enlisting help from the community and boat show attendees in an effort to keep the local coastlines clean and make a positive environmental impact.
Expanding on its commitment to keep our waters clean, the 2021 Norwalk Boat Show is introducing a new Conservation Village, which will feature Clean Earth Project’s interactive beach cleanup exhibit; the first annual ‘Norwalk Says No to Plastic’ Clean Water Contest, where Norwalk School District elementary and middle schools are invited to compete to create a project that shows how reducing plastic will help protect our water resources; the latest innovations from CT Electric Boat Company; and more. Plus, the boat show is introducing new recycling stations and reducing single-use plastics including the elimination of plastic straws.
