Boating Gives Back: Correct Craft’s Culture of Service Helps Central Floridians Amid Pandemic

Today's member spotlight features Correct Craft and its philanthropic initiatives that have not only helped front line workers in the heart of the pandemic, but have also served charitable organizations in Central Florida through its Promote Your Passion program.

Correct Craft’s mission of Making Life Better was the driving force to help communities in crisis when the pandemic hit. The company’s employees worked diligently to bring as much help and encouragement to Central Florida healthcare workers at the onset of the pandemic by sewing masks, and providing face shields, N95 masks, and donations.

In 2020, Correct Craft also continued to invest in non-profits during this time of crisis, starting the first annual “Mr. Ralph Service Day,” dedicated to the memory of boating industry legend and NMMA Hall of Famer Ralph Meloon whose father founded the company. During the inaugural “Mr. Ralph Service Day,” employees helped the Healing Touch Therapeutic Riding Center, an Orlando non-profit that works with special needs children and adults, and was a recipient of Correct Craft’s Promote Your Passion program. More than 35 volunteer employees helped build a new fence at the Center, and also assisted with pressure washing, building a storage rack and other repair projects.

Does your company have a goodwill story to share? Whether it’s a charity you support or a new eco-friendly initiative we would love to hear about it. Please send your story for consideration as a feature in NMMA’s ‘Boating Gives Back’ series to the Public Relations team at [email protected].
