NMMA Recognizes Boat Dealers with 2018 Marine Industry Customer Satisfaction Index Awards

CHICAGO -- The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) today announced boat dealer recipients of the 2018 Marine Industry Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Awards. The 2018 CSI Awards honor 1,340 boat dealers for excellence in customer satisfaction and 919 for excellence in customer service.

For the third consecutive year, NMMA is using dealer satisfaction data collected through the Marine Industry CSI program to recognize boat dealers who actively measure customer satisfaction and pursue continuous improvements to better serve their customers.

The complete list of boat dealers honored with 2018 CSI Awards for their efforts to increase customer satisfaction levels in the boating industry are listed at www.boatsatisfaction.com.

The 2018 CSI Award dealer recipients achieved an independently-measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction over the past program year. Data is collected as part of a survey of customers purchasing a new boat or engine between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018.  For this reporting period, the program surveyed more than 155,000 customers.

“Boat dealers play a critical role in strengthening participation in recreational boating,” said Robert Newsome, senior vice president of strategy, engineering standards and membership for NMMA. “We congratulate the 2018 boat dealer CSI Award recipients for delivering superior sales and service to their customers and creating an exceptional boat ownership experience.”

NMMA’s CSI Awards also honor boat and engine manufacturers; 2018 boat and engine manufacturer recipients were announced at the Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show in February.
