NMMA Attends CMTA Conference, Gives Keynote Address
On March 21, Freya Olsen, Senior Program Manager, Discover Boating, NMMA attended the Connecticut Marine Trades Association’s (CMTA) Industry Day & Annual Meeting on behalf of NMMA and gave the keynote address. CMTA’s day-long conference took place at the Saybrook Point Inn & Marina, featuring educational sessions for members addressing finance, legal issues and marketing, and several special guest speakers.
Olsen addressed more than 100 CMTA members during the conference's general session, providing a brief state of the industry address, challenges the industry is facing relating to participation and attrition, what Discover Boating is doing to address these challenges, and how CMTA can get involved on a regional level.
