Atlantic City Mayor Opens up Career Day & Policy Briefing at Progressive® Insurance Atlantic City Boat Show

Yesterday, Mayor Frank Gilliam, Atlantic City’s new Mayor, opened up the first NJ Boating Career Day with remarks to more than 40 students from New Jersey and Philadelphia high school, college and technical schools looking to chart a career in recreational boating.

Following Career Day, the Mayor welcomed guests to a policy briefing attended by more than 25 attendees and staffers from Senator Booker, Senator Menendez and Representative MacArthur’s offices in addition to exhibitors and industry leaders.

The briefing included presentations and updates from the NMMA government relations team on the state of the industry nationally and locally, Jim Donofrio from the Recreational Fishing Alliance on the latest Modern Fish Act news and Melissa Danko from the NJ Marine Trades Association on new administrative changes within the state and her policy agenda.
