NMMA Thanks Governor Rick Scott for His Nominations to Regional Fishery Management Councils
NMMA thanks Florida Governor Rick Scott for his recommendations last week to the Secretary of Commerce for appointments to both the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council (GMFMC) and the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council (SAFMC). Nominees include six highly qualified industry leaders who recognize the importance of boating and angling.
Nominees for the GMFMC include Phil Dyskow, former President of Yamaha Motors; Jeff Miller, owner of Millers Boating Center; and Colonel James Brown, former Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Law Enforcement officer. Nominees for the open recreational seat on the SAFMC include current SAFMC member Chester Brewer; attorney Mike Kennedy; and consultant John Sprague.
