NMMA Members Celebrate U.S. Manufacturing with Onsite Events

NMMA members continue to share how they celebrated Manufacturing Day, which takes place annually in October. Centurion and Supreme Boats, a subsidiary of CorrectCraft, and Stamas Yacht, located in Tarpon Springs, FL, hosted their inaugural Manufacturing Day events this year.

Students and guests from Livingston High School participated in the event hosted by Centurion & Supreme Boats, which took place at the Merced, CA factory and offices. Participants enjoyed a tour of the factory and insights from company leaders. Students learned how boats are built and the career possibilities within marine manufacturing from the production roles to the office functions.

Stamas Yacht welcomed students from the local high school to visit their working plant to experience firsthand the world of manufacturing and how a small business can be successful. The tour was very well received with much interest from the students, who were able to engage in a Q&A with the Stamas owners and Plant Manager who lead the tour.

NMMA encourages all members to support our industry’s importance to the U.S. economy and offer similar opportunities during Manufacturing Day in 2017. And, be sure to share your stories with us
