NMMA Launches New Online Career Center and Collaborative Marine Industry Career Network

NMMA has launched a new tool to match employers and potential employees – the NMMA Career Center. With its focus on the recreational marine industry, the NMMA Career Center offers NMMA members—and the marine industry at large—an online, easy-to-use and highly-targeted resource for employment connections.

“We are excited to launch the NMMA Career Center and to be an active participant in the Marine Industry Career Network (MICN) alongside several industry partners,” said Robert Newsome, Vice President, Engineering Standards; Membership & Association Marketing for NMMA. “Attracting skilled employees is a priority for marine manufacturers to ensure continued industry growth, and the MICN will help connect employers to a larger pool of candidates.”

The Marine Industry Career Network (MICN) is a collaborative effort among marine trade associations and industry stakeholders, including the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC), Marine Retailers Association of America (MRAA), and Boating Industry magazine. The MICN connects employers with a qualified workforce. Employers can manage job postings and search for candidates based on specific job criteria and benefit from online reporting that provides job activity statistics. Job seekers can view openings, post resumes and access career development resources.

The MICN was built exclusively for professionals working within the marine industry to provide an effective online recruitment method on a single network. Active members of NMMA receive a 30% discount on all marine industry career network services. Connect with the NMMA Career Center now at www.nmma.org/careers/jobs. To learn more, contact Bryan Welsh, Director, Member Services, at [email protected].

Organizations posting openings on the NMMA Career Center will be instantly connected with all participating MICN industry partners as well as the general MICN site, www.marinecareers.org.
