Center for America Veterans Project-Survey Participation Requested

The Center for America in launching a national survey of employers to identify the specific problems that are holding them back from hiring more veterans, National Guard members and Reservists.  This is the first national survey to ask employers what their industry-specific experiences are in trying to hire military candidates.

For the past four years Center for America has been coordinating the American Jobs for America’s Heroes campaign under a written agreement with and in alliance with the National Guard Bureau in Washington, DC.  More than 1,850 employers across the country are participating in this campaign.

The survey goal is to identify the specific problems experienced by employers of different sizes in different industries and locations.  Most of the resources available to employers to help them hire military candidates are too general, too complicated and often too costly.

Center for America, which is funded by Phillips 66 and foundations, is developing free, tailored resources to help employers – including your members -- be more successful in connecting with qualified military candidates.  These include directories, webcasts, best practices guides and case studies.

The survey can be taken online here. Check out CenterForAmerica.org for more information.
