The Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics has asked our industry to provide updates to their Standards of Occupational Classification (SOC)—a published database that covers all American occupations. This is an important metric that helps industries highlight their economic impact, but one which we have historically been underrepresented.

To fix that, we could use your help. Our plan is to “crowd source” industry job titles from various organizations and companies, so that we can more accurately provide the government with a complete set of data from our industry. This will be a low commitment process, which can be done at your leisure over the next few months.
