U.S. Boat Registrations Down 1.7% to 11.8M in 2014

Data on 2014 U.S. boat registrations is now available to the industry on NMMA.org in the form of a summary report and raw data. Total U.S. boat registrations declined 1.7 percent in 2014 to 11.8 million boats. Registrations in the top 10 states totaled 6.2 million and accounted for 52.2 percent of total boat registrations.

The data includes boat registrations and documented vessels by state, size, propulsion, and type, including cross-analysis with new boats sales, population size, household income, and other parameters.
