Last week Boating United sent out a call to action to stave off a potential recreational fishing ban that could be implemented off the coast of New England. Anti-fishing groups have been lobbying the federal government to prevent anglers from fishing in a large section of the northern Atlantic Ocean and it is critical that our industry responds. Such an an action would set a terrible precedent not just in the northeast but for coastal areas across the country. Take a minute and tell federal officials that recreational fishing should not be restricted!
