Korea’s Emerging Recreational Boating Industry and Opportunities for US Manufacturers – April 2nd, 2014

The recreational boating market in Korea is steadily growing with boat registration increasing by an average of 16% annually. The country’s extensive natural coastline is ideal for boating with twenty marinas now open and operational and 12 more under construction. Fishing and scuba diving are increasing in popularity too.

In just six years, the Korea International Boat Show has grown to become one of the 3 leading boat shows in Asia and an ideal platform for U.S. companies looking to sell to this growing market.

Top Export Markets for Boat and Equipment Manufacturers

This free webinar provided an overview of the top hot markets for boats and marine accessories (for a list of the top 20 markets go to:  http://ita.doc.gov/td/ocg/exp3732.htm). The speakers provided examples of how the Department of Commerce can help you access these growth markets.
