Be a Part of the 2016 Olympics in Brazil
This informative webinar provided an opportunity to learn about the $20 billion investment being made in preparing for the 2016 Olympics and the opportunities being generated for recreational boating products, including competition boats, life jackets, jet skis, rowing and sailing, anchoring and more.
During this webinar, Mr. Jay Carreiro, Commercial Officer of the US Commercial Service in Rio de Janeiro reviews the current Olympic Committee’s tenders for recreational boats and related products. As a private entity, the Olympic Committee intends to favor companies with current experience in Brazil and/or other Olympics but is also temporarily alleviating some of the existing barriers typical to exporting to Brazil. Tax abatements are in place for tender proposals as well as allowances for accepting products that are absent of local content.
An overview of the tender process and guidance as to how you can submit a proposal for these existing tenders was also discussed.
