NMMA Mourns the Loss of George Cuthbertson, NMMA Canada Hall of Fame Recipient
NMMA is saddened to share news of the passing of George Cuthbertson, founder of Cuthbertson & Cassian (C&C) Yachts, and NMMA Canada Hall of Fame recipient in 2002.
George became the president of C&C Yachts at a time when it was one of the most recognized and successful production and custom boat builders in North America and the world. Leaving the company in 1982, he re-established himself as an independent yacht designer.
He was a world-class designer who established a design legacy still recognized to this day. George dedicated his career to helping grow recreational boating and his leadership over the years had a significant and positive impact on the marine industry.
The family has confirmed that the funeral will be private but they plan to have an event in the future to celebrate George’s life.
