Since launching late last year, Boating United has received nearly 2,000 signatures on a petition in response to the record-high ethanol mandate set by the EPA in November, with the goal to deliver a letter after this month’s Inauguration asking President Trump to take action to reform the failed Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). His incoming administration will have great latitude to implement the RFS program in a new direction, one that factors in the objective concerns of the recreational boating industry. President Trump needs to hear directly from our community to fully understand the dangers and problems that are inherent to the RFS.
