Help NMMA Reform the Tax Code – Member Survey
On the heels of last month’s surprising election, policymakers and experts agree on one thing: the U.S. tax code is poised to be opened up and reformed. With Republicans controlling Congress and the White House, comprehensive corporate tax reform could be on the table the first 100 days of the Trump presidency. This marks a prime opportunity to reduce burdens and make the American economy more competitive.
With that in mind, NMMA wants to ensure recreational boating interests are represented, advocated for and protected in any tax policy debate. In order to accomplish this, our team in Washington needs to know what tax policies you want to protect, change and or eliminate. To help us get a better understanding, we have put together this brief, anonymous survey. While participation is voluntary, we strongly recommend all NMMA domestic members complete the survey so that our tax experts have sound knowledge of the policy implications affecting your business and our industry.
NMMA recommends that the survey is completed by a qualified employee or outside consultant familiar with your business and tax obligation. Your responses are strictly “blind,” neither NMMA nor any other affiliated organization will have access to identifiable or confidential information—your responses will yield insights into how NMMA positions the industry in the greater tax reform deliberations.
The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, January 13, 2017.
You can access the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NMMAtax. If you have questions about the survey, need assistance or otherwise would like to share thoughts regarding tax reform, please contact Michael Lewan at [email protected].
