The Progressive® Insurance Norwalk Boat Show® opens today and runs through Sunday at Norwalk Cove Marina in Norwalk, Connecticut. This year’s show is the largest fall show in the Northeast, and is 20% larger than in 2015! The 2016 show is home to over 200 boats comprised of 60 different varieties of watercraft, ranging from 70 yachts over 40 feet in length on display in the New Luxury Yacht Showcase, to over 2,000 feet of center console boats, sailboats and more!

 

This year the CT Marine Trades Association (CMTA) will partner with the Norwalk Boat Show to host its first-ever marine industry career day at the show on Friday, September 23 from 3:00-6:00 pm. During this event, marine businesses that have jobs to fill can publicize their open positions to job seekers. Participating companies will be able to meet with prospective candidates and post their open positions on the job board that will be displayed throughout the show. Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet face to face with companies looking for employees and will gain complimentary entrance to the show on Friday afternoon beginning at 2:00 pm when they present a resume or application to the will-call window.   

 

In addition to a host of new boats and products on display, the show will offer attendees a number of educational seminars and on-water training options to increase their boating IQ. There will also be family-friendly activities for all ages including free boat rides, live music and stand-up paddle boarding!
