Progressive Insurance Tampa Boat Show Sees 17,650 Over Three-Day Run

A variety of new and past favorite attractions and a positive overall mood from exhibitors set the tone for the Progressive® Insurance Tampa Boat Show®.  The annual three-day boating event attracted 17,650 visitors through its gates, a six percent decrease from 2014 attendance. Early reports indicate the show attracted buyers and resulted in a solid event for the local marine industry.

“We sold bigger boats this year and saw high quality traffic, making eleven solid deals and meeting many quality prospects to follow up with,” said Ron Reeves, Pro Marine.

“The future looks bright again this year with all the new boater interest we saw at the show,” said Steve Wacker, Thunder Marine.

“We saw good quality traffic all weekend. We closed 10 deals and have a lot of sea trials and follow ups to conduct with good prospects,” said Dave Hipps, Land O’ Lakes Marine.

The show also made waves in local media leading up to and throughout the weekend

In addition to over 120 boats displayed in the water, the Tampa Boat Show was also host to the world debut of three boats by Pursuit & Regal, the Pursuit C 238, the Pursuit OS 355, and the Regal 230 OX, the first outboard boat ever produced by the company. There were also plenty of features to keep attendees entertained such as Prorgessive® Insurance Boat School, Discover Boating Hands-On Skills Training and Try It Cove.
