Discover Boating has kicked off its sponsored video advertising campaign on Instagram. Instagram has a community of more than 300 million users worldwide and one of the world’s largest mobile ad platforms.
As part of the campaign, Discover Boating is featuring a series of seven 15-second sponsored videos showcasing the boating lifestyle. You may notice a Discover Boating sponsored video in your feed (campaign runs through July 19). Sponsored content on Instagram is a new offering from Instagram and Discover Boating is one of the first in the recreation field to participate and joins a select group of advertisers on the platform. Instagram aims to “show ads from businesses that are interesting to you, and to do that we'll use information about what you do on Instagram and Facebook (our parent company). For example, this might include the people you follow, the photos and videos you like on Instagram, and your interests and other basic info on Facebook.”
