Today at ABC: NMMA State Government Relations Update

NMMA continues to successfully advance pro-boating legislation and block harmful proposals across multiple states. For NMMA members at this week’s American Boating Congress in Washington, D.C., make sure to attend this afternoon’s State Government Relations Update session from 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm to learn more about how NMMA is advocating on the state level for members and the marine manufacturing industry.

NMMA priorities include expanding marine infrastructure, opposing unnecessary wakesurfing and PWC restrictions, and advocating for sensible regulations related to PFAS, product labeling, and manufacturing. As more regulatory authority shifts to the states, NMMA closely monitors legislative trends to ensure the continued success of marine businesses and boater access nationwide.

To date this session, the NMMA state government relations team has been active in 39 states, holding more than 108 direct meetings with legislators. As the influence of state governments continues to grow, our expanded team is investing the time and resources needed to advocate for our industry at the local and state level.

NMMA continues to prioritize public access, smart regulation, and the protection of manufacturing and marine innovation at the state level. NMMA members can learn more by checking their email for a state legislative session update sent earlier this month, or by contacting Ben Murray, Director of State Government Relations, at [email protected].
