Discover Boating Louisville Boat, RV and Sportshow Attracts Boating & Outdoor Enthusiasts

The Discover Boating Louisville Boat, RV & Sportshow, in partnership with Progressive Insurance, cruised into the Kentucky Exposition Center last weekend, drawing more than 33,000 boating and outdoors enthusiasts throughout its five-day run.

“I would say the percentage of quality buyers was up compared to pre-Covid shows,” said Tim Addington at SMI Marine. “We are pleased with our outcome and believe it set the tone for a good selling year.”

In addition to hundreds of boats, RVs and outdoors accessories on display, there was a host of activities for attendees of all ages. Highlights of this year’s show included the new Wake Zone, daily live entertainment, a paddlesports pool, Fred’s Shed How-to-Center presented by Progressive Insurance, and more.

More than 10,000 people have used Louisville’s new Discover Boating Boat Finder, spending an average of four and a half minutes browsing boat pages--well above the one-minute industry benchmark. Additionally, the website LouisvilleBoatRVShow.com has seen 60,000 visitors, with 41 percent being in the 25-44 age range.

“The Louisville show was an amazing experience for our dealerships,” said Hannah Jelinek from United Motorsports. “Our RV location has only been under our wing for about a year, so it was an excellent opportunity for us to get our name out there to local RV enthusiasts and provide the same great customer service we are known for at our powersports locations.”

Up next, Feb. 15-19, are the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show and Discover Boating New England Boat Show, in partnership with Progressive Insurance.
