Do you want to see how boat sales are trending compared to other industries?  Are you interested in industry forecasts?  NMMA’s Recreational Boating Industry 2016 Q4 Data Dashboard is now available to download and free to NMMA members. The Data Dashboard provides detailed insights on powerboat wholesale and retail sales statistics, as well as economic indicators spanning trends in home prices, consumer confidence, recreational vehicle wholesale shipments, the economic health of major export partners and more. Highlights of the 2016 Q4 Data Dashboard include:

• Consumer confidence soared to a fifteen year high – 113.7 in December.  Typically, strong consumer confidence bodes well for boat sales.  
• Retail sales in most traditional powerboat categories were up on both quarterly and rolling twelve month (RM12) basis, with overall sales up 6.1% R12M year over year (YOY) through November.
• RV shipments, which trend similarly to boat shipments, were up 14.2% R12M YOY through November and forecasts indicate growth to continue through 2017.
• The latest global PMI figures indicate economic health in all of the top 10 U.S. boat export destinations.
