New Workforce Development Opportunities for NMMA Members

As the NMMA works towards addressing the industry’s growing workforce challenges, we have created two new opportunities for NMMA members to help expand awareness for jobs in boating and engage/educate companies in solutions to recruit new hires.

At the end of June, the NMMA is taking part at an annual conference for school guidance counselors, the ASCA Annual Conference.  The objective is to market the boating industry as a career option to the next generation of workers: Choose Your Workspace: Explore Careers in the Boating Industry. The conference will attract over 2,500 school guidance counselors from throughout the U.S. (K-12 and some college level).

The NMMA is looking for industry partners to contribute with donations of giveaway items that are applicable to educators, donations of no less than 500 pieces. This is a cost effective way of branding your company at this event while supporting our industry’s overall effort. Contact Julie Balzano, Sr. Director Workforce Development by April 19 [email protected].

On September 30, 2019, the NMMA is hosting a new, full day Super Session at IBEX in Tampa, Florida focused on workforce development. Challenges & Solutions, Workforce Development Super Session at IBEX will be the first time the entire industry gathers to explore solutions.  We expect the seminar to sell out with a limit of 100 attendees. Registration opens in May, and sponsorship opportunities are available now.
