NMMA Members Showcase Marine Industry on Manufacturing Day

On Friday, October 5th, numerous NMMA members helped address common misperceptions about manufacturing by opening their doors and showing what marine manufacturing is — and what it isn’t. By participating in Manufacturing Day, these NMMA members helped address the skilled labor shortage, connect with future generations, take charge of the public image of manufacturing, and ensure the ongoing prosperity of the whole industry.

NMMA would like to thank its members who not only hosted events but took the time to either promote their event or sign up on the Manufacturing Day website and register their event. Those members include: Barletta Boats, Bass Cat and Yar-Craft Boats, Boston Whaler, Centurion and Supreme Boats, Crestliner, Indmar Marine Engines, Lund Boats, Malibu Boats, Nautique Boat Company Inc., Pleasurecraft Engine Group, Sea Ark Boats, Sportsman Boats, and Yamaha Marine Precision Propeller.

Manufacturing Day is held on the first Friday of the month of October. It's not too early to start planning for next year, especially as our industry looks to grow its workforce and build awareness for the quality jobs offered in marine manufacturing. NMMA encourages members to mark your calendars for October 4, 2019. Please contact NMMA Chief Communications Officer Ellen Hopkins Bradley at [email protected] to learn how NMMA can help you plan your event.
