NMMA Member Hosts Facility Visit with U.S. Congressman

U.S. Representative Bruce Westerman (R-AR-04) visited SeaArk Boats last week, where he received an overview of the company, a tour of the plant, and a briefing on issues impacting the marine industry. NMMA encourages all members to work with them on coordinating similar opportunities.

SeaArk President Steve Henderson and Congressman Westerman discussed how SeaArk has enjoyed increased sales and production in the past few years. Mr. Henderson shared the importance of offering employment opportunities in the region and how SeaArk’s staff has doubled in the past two years. They also addressed how the new tariffs and trade war could negatively impact the aluminum boat industry.

“I appreciate the opportunity to see what all is taking place here at SeaArk Boats along with the economic benefits,” said Congressman Westerman. “Boating and fishing are something near and dear to me and the opportunities to do that here in Arkansas are important. SeaArk has been a good member of the business community and this part of the world for a long time and I hope to see them continue with their success.”

SeaArk’s President Steve Henderson stated, “We’re honored to have Congressman Westerman tour our facilities and learn more about our company and industry concerns. It’s important to discuss these issues that are facing the marine industry and our company, and we look forward to continuing this discussion.”
