Does Your Organization Use Contract Manufacturers?
NMMA is a member of the Protect Jobs in American Manufacturing Coalition, a group of companies and trade associations that support a variety of tax reform measures, including the enactment of H.R. 4770—a bipartisan bill that clarifies the application of the domestic manufacturing deduction to contract manufacturing (known as section 199). The Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation ("JCT"), has requested information on the sec. 199 deduction related to U.S.-based contract manufacturing for the purpose of scoring this bill.
