WASHINGTON, D. C., July 20, 2016 – The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), in partnership with the Lake Erie Marine Trades Association (LEMTA), is hosting a reception on the water during the Republican National Convention to provide a first-hand look into the U.S. recreational boating industry and its significant value to the economy.
The special two-day event includes tours of boats manufactured in the U.S. and rides on Lake Erie, as well as an opportunity to meet with industry and local leaders who can discuss the critical Great Lakes habitat and the overwhelming impact that recreational boat, engine and accessory manufacturing have on the U.S. economy. More than 150 attendees are expected and include delegates from Louisiana and Florida, Members of Congress and local boating businesses.
