NMMA Canada Receives GOA funding from Federal Government to Support Canadian Marine Manufacturers to Compete Globally
NMMA Canada has been chosen to receive $58,650 in funding from the federal government to help Canadian industry members expand and succeed abroad. The funding stems from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development’s Global Opportunities for Associations (GOA) program which supports national associations and will allow Canadian marine manufacturers the opportunity to explore new and emerging markets through trade show missions. NMMA Canada is fortunate to receive GOA program funding for a second time. In 2013, together with Canadian marine manufacturers, the government funding allowed NMMA to take a trade mission abroad to both the Eurasia Boat Show and the Dubai International Boat Show to establish distributor opportunities in these important marine markets.
The new funding is allowing NMMA Canada to assemble a trade mission for Canadian marine businesses to attend the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), May 22-25, 2014 in Gold Coast, Queensland Australia.
