Senate Leaders Introduce Reauthorization Bill for Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Safety Trust Fund
The leaders of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee introduced legislation on February 12 that would provide funding for fish habitat restoration and boating safety programs. The legislation was co-sponsored by committee Chairman Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) and ranking member John Thune (R-SD). AFWA has been working with the Angling and Boating Alliance to develop a community policy platform in preparation for this reauthorization and looks forward to working with the bill sponsors on reauthorization of the Trust Fund.
