Test Drive program provides visitors the opportunity to sample Crocs™ footwear at shows
Chicago, IL
December 13, 2007 – The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) announced today a partnership with Crocs Inc. to debut a shoe trial promotion at twelve boat and sport shows in 2008. Crocs™ shoes will be available for attendees to wear as they browse the show floor by visiting the Crocs Test Drive station, located at the entrance of each event. The popular shoes, with their superior gripping, non-marking soles, have been a favorite of boating and outdoor enthusiasts around the world since their 2002 introduction.
The Crocs Test Drive promotion offers attendees the opportunity to select a pair of Crocs™ shoes from a wide array of colors and styles as they enter each show. Participating show visitors will provide their driver’s license in exchange for temporary use of the shoes. Prior to leaving the show, attendees will have the option to purchase the Crocs™ footwear they’ve worn throughout the day, choose a different style, or return them in exchange for an online coupon.
“We’re excited to work with Crocs on this Test Drive program, as it brings a new interactive component to help visitors enjoy their experience at the show,” said Ben Wold, executive vice president of NMMA. “What’s more, “test driving” a pair of Crocs also provides visitors the opportunity to experience a product before purchasing and easily board boats on the show floor without having to remove their shoes.”
The promotion will run in the following NMMA shows in 2008: New York National Boat Show, Dec. 29–Jan. 6.; San Diego Boat Show, Jan. 3–6.; Kansas City Sportshow, Jan. 9–13; Chicago Boat, RV & Outdoors Show, Jan.16–20.; Minneapolis Boat Show, Jan. 23–27; Atlantic City International Power Boat Show, Feb.6–10; St. Louis Boat & Sportshow, Feb.6–10; Miami International Boat Show, Feb. 14–18; Strictly Sail Miami, Feb. 14–18; Northwest Sportshow, Apr. 2–6; Norwalk International In-Water Boat Show, Sept. 18–21; and Tampa Boat Show, dates TBD.
